Ladakh Trip Days Overview
Early morning board flight to Leh. Upon arrival at the Leh Airport, you will be received by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Enjoy simple and light lunch today at your respective hotels. Since you are arriving at 11000 ft, we strongly recommend taking complete rest and drinking an ample amount of water on the first day where you should not indulge yourself in any strenuous activity. The rest of the day is free to acclimatize to the high altitude of Leh. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
We will drive alongside After Morning breakfast we will drive to Thiksey Monastery built in 1430 AD belongs to the Gelukpa Order of Buddhism. Lakhang Nyerma a Temple dedicated to Goddess DorjeChenmo is within the Thiksey monastery. Apart from LakhangNyerma, there are a few more shrines inside the monastery complex. Then comes Stok Monastery, Shey Palace, and Rancho School. Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel.
Today post breakfast check out of the hotel and we will start our journey to Nubra Valley through Khardungla, which is the World's highest motorable road at 18,832 feet above sea level. Nubra Valley is the Oasis of Ladakh as you see some colourful trees in this region. Later reach your camp, check-in and enjoy your lunch. Post lunch visit the Hunder sand dunes and get the sight of the Double Hump Bactrian camels (camel ride to be on direct payment basis), enjoy leisure time at the Sand Dunes of Nubra valley spread across Hundur Village. Later in the evening, return to your respective camps. Dinner and Overnight stay at the camp.
Today Turtuk is the last outpost of Indian-controlled Ladakh, after which Pakistan-controlled Gilgit Baltistan begins. The village is one of the gateways to the Siachen Glacier. Turtuk is known for its varieties of fruits, especially apricots. Also, we will explore the last village of India – Thang Village.
After breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake at 14, 500 ft. via Agham and Shyok village and reach Pangong Lake. Pangong is the highest saltwater lake in the world. Take in the breathtaking views and setting of the blue lake set amidst the lofty Himalayan Mountains. Check in to your respective camps and enjoy your lunch. Later in the afternoon, spend time on your own at leisure. A popular location for many Bollywood movies, enjoy some unique moments, and don't forget to click some nice pictures. Dinner and Overnight stay at the camp.
Hanle is a large historic village in the Indian Union territory of Ladakh. It is the site of the 17th-century Hanle Monastery of the Drukpa Kagyu branch of Tibetan Buddhism and also the Indian Astronomical Observatory, which is one of the world's highest astronomical observatories. So today we will be covering an isolated place Hanle via Tsagala Pass where the Indo-China war was fought in 1962. We will reach the homestay and have dinner with family.
Tso Moriri Lake in the Changthang region of Ladakh is one of the most beautiful, calm, and sacred (for Ladakhis) high-altitude lakes in India. In fact, it is the largest high-Altitude Lake in India that is entirely in Indian Territory. This beautiful blue pallet lake is about 7 KM wide at its broadest point and about 19 KM long. A large number of flora and fauna is found in the region. Since it is very near to the Line of Actual Control, one needs to get Inner Line Permit to visit Tso Moriri. Overnight stay.
After sunrise, enjoy your breakfast and check out of the camp and drive back to Leh via the mighty Tanglangla Pass which is the 3rd highest motorable pass, Nyoma band, and Phuga hotspring. Reach Leh by afternoon, Evening at leisure, you may opt to visit the local market to buy souvenirs for your near and dear ones (pick up and drop to the market will be on a direct payment basis). Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast, depart to Leh airport to board the flight back for onward journey with beautiful memories.
